How does the Hydster® work – does it heat and dry at the same time?
The Hydster® is a liquid-filled copper-tube heater, warmed from below by an electric heating rod. A self-developed heat routing carries the warmth through the entire frame within minutes – top to bottom, evenly. Hang towels over it or slip shoes and gloves onto the holders and they dry at the same time.
What does a Hydster® cost and what sizes are possible?
Every Hydster® is made to measure, from 1 to 2 m in length. The guide price is calculated from the components in the configurator – e.g. from approx. €785 for 1 m. Options such as a Wi-Fi heating rod or a boot holder are added as surcharges. All prices plus VAT.
How is the Hydster® powered – and how much electricity does it use?
The Hydster® is powered electrically by a heating rod – 300, 600 or 1200 watts depending on the version. The thermostat is built into the heating rod and controls the heat, so only as much electricity is used as needed. Exact consumption depends on size and the set temperature.
Is the Hydster® suitable for bathrooms and wet rooms?
Yes. The Hydster® is designed for wet rooms such as bathroom, shower or cellar. IP protection comes through the heating rod and is always included. Solid copper is naturally corrosion-resistant and antibacterial.
Can I use the Hydster® in a motorhome, caravan or on a boat?
Yes. Thanks to its slim, space-saving design the Hydster® is ideal for motorhomes, caravans, boats or ships – anywhere power is available. Perfect for drying sailing gear, neoprene, jackets and shoes on the go.
How is the Hydster® installed and what is the delivery time?
Every Hydster® is custom-built and installed on site; the delivery time is approx. 14 days. On request STEIZL® technicians handle the professional installation directly at your location.
